QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
Hi I have just got a Chrysler 300m the car is already black my question is How does the car need to be prepared do was sand the car? And how much ZGS would I need for a car of this size
As long as you have a black base, you'll get great results. Use 25 grams per gallon if you're mixing with peelable paint, and 50 grams per gallon if you're mixing with standard automotive paint.

Hi if painting a motorcycle would I need to paint it black first then put it in clear coat? And how many grams would you suggest?
For optimal result, it's best to spray the ZGS HyperShift Pearl over a black base. You would only need 25 grams and mix it with half a gallon of clear.
-
What ratio would be recommended for a clear gelcoat for a boat? Is 25/gal sufficient?
25-50 grams would be sufficient
-
Can this be used over white base?
Yes, you can. All of our ZG HyperShift Series will work over a white or black base coat. Different base color yields different result so in order for you to achieve the color that you are looking for, we suggest testing it on a small scale first.
-
Would this pearl lay well over a dark grey like gun metal gray or gun ship grey? Or would it just appear like dusty and dirty?
We haven't tried it with a different base coat. For sure, the end result might be different than what is being advertised. You are free to try it on a different base but we always suggest testing it on a small scale first.
-
Is it compatible with normal car paints, as opposed to DYC peelable coating?
Yes, it is. We suggest testing it on a small scale first.

Hello, is it also possible to put the pigments in the 2k clearcoat? I'm a car painter and I prefer 2k clear
Yes, that works too. Any clear would work, typically.
