I want to use Green as my base coat and have the other colors from the pearl peak through (I got Bluegill) but not cover the Green. Would I need to just add less pearl to my clear coat? I was thinking 100g/Gallon?
Great question! Yes, using less pearl and applying fewer coats is the right approach if you want the green base to show through while still getting the color shift from the Bluegill pearl.
Starting with 100g per gallon is a good idea, and you can always adjust slightly based on how strong or subtle you want the effect. Just build up the coats slowly and keep checking the look until you get the balance you're after.
